Ambient (emissions) bioaerosol monitoring

Bioaerosol emissions from organic waste recycling facilities (such as composting, anaerobic digestion) and intensive farming sites can pose risks to public.

Solidsense Ltd's highly qualified microbiologists and bioaerosol scientists can carry out ambient bioaerosol monitoring using both impactor and filter-based sampling approaches (e.g. Environment Agency M9 guidance aligned) as well as bespoke analysis.

Our field and laboratory scientists have years of experience in delivering ambient bioaerosol monitoring services for key industry clients. The portfolio of sites include single 'simple' process sites to those with multiple processes and emission sources.

Our aim is to be a technical leader in bioaerosol monitoring to the organics recycling industries. We use equipment from leading external suppliers alongside bespoke equipment designed and built in-house in order to offer the best possible service (i.e. service that exceeds minimum requirements). By working with like-minded clients we look to reduce ambient bioaerosol monitoring costs for clients and/or improve data capture through innovation.

Occupational health bioaerosol monitoring

Workers as waste management facilities can be exposed to harmful dusts, aerosols and bioaerosols.

Bioaerosol assessments are especially important at waste management facilities handling / treating organic wastes such as composting sites. Concentrations of bioaerosols can be elevated near to source material and during active treatment/handling of material.

We have expertise in the use of impactor and filter-based bioaerosol sampling approaches at waste management sites for occupational bioaerosol assessments. In fact we often use both approaches in combination to maximise data capture and the strengths of each approach. If you're needing an assessment or struggling to get value from monitoring to date get in touch.
